International Law and the Recognition of Violence Against Women

In this book the authors sight sees that women in every given society are treated as abandoned commodities and sometimes susceptible as to what they represent. Notwithstanding, within the modern conception and advancement, women continue to be treated inhumanely, unsympathetically and callously, and this has affected both their statuses and rights acquired in the society. The authors points out that with all the laudable efforts initiated and put in place by human rights instruments, the rate of violation on women rights are increasing and rampants. The practices experienced by women on the international scene are not exempted in Cameroon in matters related to violence. Even though Cameroon comprehended and documented as a State of Law has devours great efforts in certifying that women anguishing from the effect of violence should be protected, continues to experience increase violations cases, and combating continues to pose huge nightmares in the country. So, the question one is forced in asking is what becomes of the protection climate of women in the country since combating violence remains problematic? Combatting Women Violence in Cameroon is really a hallucination.
